Paul Wylam secures defense verdict for Wilkes-Barre
OB-GYN after binding arbitration
At a binding arbitration in early 2007, Paul Wylam
successfully defended a local OB-GYN who stood accused
of failing to provide proper prenatal care, resulting
in premature delivery.
The Perry Law Firm, LLC retained a leading expert in
premature labor to assist in analyzing the medical issues
and providing powerful testimony. Mr. Wylam successfully
convinced the arbitrator that the premature labor was
the result of chorioamnionitis, which is an infection
of the membranes of the placenta, and not any breach
of the standard of care by the treating OB-GYN. The arbitrator
rendered a verdict in favor of the defendants represented
by The Perry Law Firm, LLC.
