Frank Brier successfully defends Scranton hospital at trial on claims of failure to diagnose pulmonary embolism
Scranton
based partner, Frank J. Brier, recently concluded the
successful representation of Moses Taylor Hospital in
an alleged medical malpractice case. The litigation
stemmed from the use and maintenance of a patient's
central line catheter. The Plaintiff alleged that the
nurses and the Hospital failed to properly use the catheter
causing a pulmonary embolism and the patient's death.
Attorney Brier defended the nurses and the Hospital
in the six-day trial which recently concluded in a defense
verdict. The trial was held before the Honorable Trish
Corbett in the Court of Common Pleas, Lackawanna County,
Pennsylvania.
