Alexia Blake and William Aquilino obtain dismissal of employment discrimination claims against Luzerne County hospital
The Perry Law Firm, LLC recently obtained dismissal
of all claims on behalf of a local hospital in a significant
employment discrimination case.
The hospital was named as a defendant in a case alleging
violation of a physician’s civil rights based
on national origin. The plaintiff-physician had been
terminated from the family practice residency program
for sexually harassing a unit secretary. He alleged,
however, in a case filed in the United States District
Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, that
he was fired as a result of his national origin.
After extensive discovery, attorneys Mark Perry, Bill
Aquilino and Alexia Kita Blake filed for summary judgment
on behalf of the defendant-hospital. In an extensive
opinion, the USDC agreed with our defenses and legal
argument, and dismissed the claims.
