Perry Law Firm obtains dismissal of wrongful discharge claims against local family medicine residency program and hospital.
The Perry Law Firm, LLC recently obtained dismissal
of all claims on behalf of a local hospital in a significant
employment discrimination case. The hospital was named
as a defendant in a case alleging violation of a physician’s
civil rights based on national origin. The plaintiff-physician
had been terminated from the family practice residency
program for sexually harassing a unit secretary. He
alleged, however, in a case filed in the United States
District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania,
that he was fired as a result of his national origin.
After extensive discovery, attorneys Mark Perry, Bill
Aquilino and Alexia Kita Blake filed for summary judgment
on behalf of the defendant-hospital. In an extensive
opinion, the USDC agreed with our defenses and legal
argument, and dismissed the claims.
