Admitted to the bar in 2001, Ms. Serge was the Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Terrence R. Nealon, Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas from 2000-2002. She is co-author of “The Most-Cited Scholars and Works in Women and Crime Publications,” Women and Criminal Justice 9:41-60 (1997) and "Textbook Adoption and Other Landmark Decisions: The Coverage of Court Cases in Criminal Justice Textbooks, 1986-1995," Journal of Criminal Justice Education (Fall 1997). She received the Order of Barristers for excellence in courtroom advocacy, and is also an ATLA trial team regional winner for 2000. In addition, Ms. Serge has provided continuing education credits to medical and legal professionals on topics in medical record maintenance and disclosure. Ms. Serge is a member of the Lackawanna County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.
