The Perry Law Firm, LLC names Paul J. Wylam partner and Alexia Kita Blake of counsel to the firm.
The
Perry Law Firm, LLC is pleased to announce that Paul
J. Wylam, Esq. has been elected partner and Alexia Kita
Blake, Esq. is joining the firm Of Counsel.
Attorney
Wylam has been a member of the firm since 1999. Prior
to becoming an attorney, he worked as a Claims Specialist
for State Farm Insurance.
A
native of Scranton, Mr. Wylam is a graduate of the University
of Scranton. He received his Juris Doctor degree from
the Widener School of Law in Harrisburg, PA. His practice
is primarily focused on medical malpractice defense
representing physicians, physician groups and hospitals
within Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania. He has
also served as defense counsel for several national
retail stores. Most recently, Mr. Wylam was selected
as a Pennsylvania Rising Star as featured in the December
2005 issue of Philadelphia magazine, Pennsylvania Super
Lawyers - Rising Star Edition.
Mr. Wylam currently resides in Clarks Summit with his
wife the former Kimberly Duffy and their two children.
Attorney Blake is a graduate of the University of Scranton
and the Villanova University School of Law. Ms. Blake
has represented both private and public sector employers
in all aspects of employee relations, including litigation
in federal and state court of employment discrimination
and wrongful discharge claims; representation before
federal and state agencies; including the Equal Employment
Opportunity Commission, Pennsylvania Human Relations
Commission and the National Labor Relations Board, She
has experience in labor arbitrations; collective bargaining
negotiations; counseling employers involved in union
organizing campaigns and strike-related proceedings,
including injunction actions; and counseling employers
on various personnel issues, including employee handbooks,
the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with
Disabilities Acts sexual harassment training and reduction
in force/downsizing issues. She is a former adjunct
professor at the University of Scranton’s Graduate
School of Health Administration and Human Resources
and has spoken at seminar presentations for human resource
managers on labor and employment law issues. Ms. Blake
is also a certified mediator for the U.S. District Court
for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. She resides
at Moosic Lake with her husband, Attorney Geff Blake,
and their three children.
Originally
established in 1998 as a solo practice, The Perry Law
Firm, LLC has grown to a firm of 11 attorneys with offices
in Scranton and Bethlehem. The firm’s attorneys
and paralegals provide legal services to clients in
a wide variety of specialties including Professional
Liability, Health Law, Employment & Labor Law, Immigration
Law, Insurance Defense, Commercial and Construction
Litigation, with a particular emphasis devoted to defense
