The Perry law firm, LLC presents "The Role of Government in Long-Term Care Facilities" at Marywood University
On September 5, 2008, Mark T. Perry and Elizabeth A. Scoblick presented “The Role of Government in Long Term Care Facilities” at Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. This presentation is part of a seminar offered by the Marywood University Nursing Home Administration Program and covers topics such as the regulation of the long term care industry by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, Office of Inspector General and Pennsylvania state agencies. The comprehensive presentation focuses on the fraud and abuse issues that can arise in long term care facilities and the laws and regulations enacted to combat fraud and abuse such as the False Claims Act, the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute, the Stark Law, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and OBRA ’87. Individuals who attended the accredited course were seeking to become a nursing home administrator and needed to be informed of the current legal liability and risk management issues that confront those managing long term care facilities
